The Virginia Deafblind Professionals Learning Community (PLC)

The Virginia Deafblind Professionals Learning Community (PLC) is a group of professionals working with students with both vision and hearing loss who seek a community to actively engage in learning, problem solving, and exploration of best practices.   In the PLC, everyone brings expertise, curiosity, and an open mind to exploring new ideas and solutions. Together, we will improve practices, outcomes, and systems for our students.  PLCs will revolve around a central focus over the course of one year.

Calling All Educational Team Members: Deepen Your Instructional Practices with Microcredentials

The Virginia Deafblind Project is launching the first Microcredential in educating DeafBlind Students this Fall: Supporting Communication Development for DeafBlind Children with Significant Support Needs.

Upon completion of all required activities,*  participants will receive a digital badge, which is a verified, online microcredential recognizing the skills and knowledge obtained through participation in the professional development activity. Badges can be added into resumes, email signatures, and social media profiles and can be shared with employers to recognize advanced learning and instructional practices.
